Welcome
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District One, is conducting a Project Development and Environment (PD&E) study to evaluate replacement alternatives of the existing bridges along John Ringling Boulevard (SR 789) from Bird Key Drive to Sarasota Harbour West, for a distance of approximately three quarters of a mile. Replacement alternatives considered may include twin bridges or a single bridge, as well as bicycle and pedestrian accomodations for all alternatives.
Design services are part of this contract and will continue after the PD&E study completion. For more information, please see the About the Project page and the FAQs page .
