Bayshore Road (SR 78) Pathway from Park 78 Drive to SR 31
Project Development & Environment (PD&E) Study
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District One began a Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study in March 2017 to evaluate alternative pathway alignments ranging from 8-foot wide to 12-foot wide along both sides of Bayshore Road (SR 78). The Bayshore Road pathway will extend almost four miles of pathway to the existing bicycle and pedestrian network in Lee County. This website contains information on the PD&E study process, the project schedule, public involvement opportunities and information on how to contact members of the study team.

The Bayshore Road (SR 78) Pathway Public Information Meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at the Lee Civic Center, Whaley Hall Building at 11831 Bayshore Road, North Fort Myers, Florida 33917. The meeting will be conducted in an open house format and participants are welcome to attend any time between 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
