Welcome

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District One began a Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study in March 2017 to evaluate alternative pathway alignments ranging from 8-foot wide to 12-foot wide along one side of Bayshore Road (SR 78). A potential mid-block crossing will be evaluated for connecting residents to the pathway. The Bayshore Road pathway will extend almost four miles of pathway to the existing bicycle and pedestrian network in Lee County. This website contains information on the PD&E study process, the project schedule, public involvement opportunities and information on how to contact members of the study team.
