FAQ's

Question:
Will access to my property or business be blocked at any time during construction?

Answer:
The contractor is required to maintain access to properties and businesses at all times. If there are multiple entrances to access a property the contractor is allowed to close entrances as long as one entrance is maintained for access.

Question:
Will there be any lane closures during construction?

Answer:
Yes, it will be necessary to have lane closures at various times during construction. The public will be notified in advance of lane closures through the media and weekly RoadWatch Updates via Twitter:@MyFDOT_SWFL or sign up on the Email Update page.

Question:
What if I have irrigation, landscaping, or other items located in the right-of-way that will be impacted by construction?

Answer:
Any items located within the right of way will need to be removed or relocated. If the items are not removed at start of construction, the contractor is permitted to remove and dispose of items to proceed with construction activities. If you need assistance determining where the right of way line is, please contact Trudy Gerena, Public Information Officer at 813-299-3579 or trudy@valerin-group.com and she will arrange to have someone meet with you at your location.
