The Lakeland Intermodal Feasibility Study is a project by the FDOT on the behalf of the City of Lakeland to coordinate the development of an intermodal center in or near Dowtown Lakeland, providing for future transportation needs. Key items in this study include:

  • Public outreach
  • Assessment of existing conditions
  • Identification of facility requirments and potential funding sources
  • Update purpose and need statement
  • Identify potential site locations/alternatives
  • Develop screening criteria and process
  • Tier 1 and Teir 2 screening evaluations
  • Refinement of preferred alternative
  • Submit feasibility report
