Project Description:
The Florida Department of Transportation will begin work on safety improvements at the intersection of U.S. 41 (Tamiami Trail) and Crystal Drive. These improvements will enhance traffic flow and reduce crashes at the intersection. Additional project elements include removing the pedestrian islands, replacing the existing signal with new mast arm signals, and creating a northbound right turn lane.

Road Watch Update:
US 41 and Crystal Drive Intersection:
Construction project: Project consists of intersection improvements at US 41 and Crystal Drive.
Motorists should anticipate intermittent daytime right turn lane closures at the right turn lane at Crystal Drive headed northbound from Sunday, April 28 through Sunday, May 5.
The lanes will be closed for concrete sidewalk demo and re-installation as well as equipment/material staging during directional drilling operations.
Motorists should use caution while crews work near the roadway.
