Project Description
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District One is providing roadway improvements on State Road (S.R.) 31 at County Road (C.R.) 74 (Bermont Road) in Charlotte County. These improvements include constructing a roundabout, milling and resurfacing, upgrading drainage, installing new lighting, adding landscaping, signing and pavement marking.
- The primary goal of the SR 31 improvements consists of reconstructing the signalized intersection and replace it with a roundabout that will enhance connectivity, circulation, and safety.

SR 31 at CR 74 (Bermont Road) Roundabout Construction: Construction project: These improvements will include constructing a roundabout, milling and resurfacing, upgrading drainage, installing new lighting, adding landscaping, signing, and pavement marking. Throughout construction, motorists should expect intermittent daytime and nighttime/overnight lane closures.
- Motorists should expect to see crews performing work during the daytime hours, beginning Monday, November 3, through Friday, November 8, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Crews will be relocating barrier wall, installing curb pads, placing truck aprons, and grading slopes.
- The following activities are subject to change based on weather conditions and unforeseen underground conditions.
