Welcome

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District One began a Project Development and Environment (PD&E) study in February 2015 to evaluate alternatives to widen State Road (SR) 60 from two to four lanes between County Road (CR) 630 in Polk County to east of the Kissimmee River Bridge in Osceola County. This project also includes constructing a parallel bridge at the Kissimmee River to accommodate the additional lanes.

On August 5, 2019, The Florida Department of Transportation Office of Environmental Management (OEM) granted Location and Design Concept Acceptance for the SR 60 Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study. This project is now eligible to move to the next phase of development, where construction plans will be prepared. Please see the August 2019 LDCA Newsletter and all other project materials in our Documents and Publications page.
