Welcome

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District One has initiated a Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study for SR 758 (Midnight Pass Road) at Beach Road in Siesta Key, Sarasota County, FL. SR 758 is a signalized “T”‐intersection with southbound and westbound free flow right turn lanes and pedestrian crosswalks across the north and west legs of the intersection. The PD&E study includes engineering and environmental analyses and will evaluate alternatives to improve multi‐modal accessibility at the intersection while maintaining existing vehicular capacity and safety for pedestrians, bicyclists, and vehicles. There are three alternatives under consideration: geometric intersection improvements, a roundabout, and a no-build alternative.
