444937-1 State Road 78/Bayshore Road Capacity Study from I-75 to State Road 31 in Lee County
Project Details
About
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is conducting a Project Development & Environment study to evaluate potential alternatives to enhance safety, accommodate future traffic demand, and to improve the roadway design to serve the needs of all users, including bicyclists and pedestrians. Once the Design phase is funded, the study is expected to continue. The remaining steps include coordination with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) for the proposed changes to the interchange, holding a Public Hearing, and submitting the study for approval. The study is expected to be approved in mid-2026. The Right of Way and Construction phases are not funded in the FDOT Work Program at this time.
