The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District One is doing a Project Development and Environment (PD&E) study of a 0.76 mile segment of State Road (SR) 951 from south of Manatee Road to north of Tower Road in Collier County. The project limits are shown on the location map below. The study evaluates widening the four-lane divided road to a six-lane divided road to handle future expected traffic.

The study began in February 2015 and is estimated to be completed in August 2017. FDOT will develop roadway widening alternatives, environmental assessments and cost estimates that we will present to the public at a public hearing tentatively scheduled for the summer of 2017. Please check back for more details regarding the hearing date and location.

Click on the various pages of this website for information about the PD&E study process, future public involvement meetings, the project schedule and information on how to contact FDOT’s project manager.
