US 27 Clewiston Corridor Vision
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District One is preparing a Corridor Vision Plan for US 27 in Hendry County. The corridor runs east/west through the City of Clewiston, for a length of approximately 6 miles, from County Road 720 to the Palm Beach County Line. This plan will evaluate the existing conditions of the corridor including traffic/safety, socioeconomic and cultural resources, and multi-modal connections and opportunities. The plan will also assess the land use adjacent to the corridor, local municipal policies and regulations, and concurrent planning efforts. The project will include robust public engagement process. The goal is to formulate a Corridor Vision Plan that is reflective of community preferences, and for FDOT, as a partner, to better understand the area's needs.
The plan represents ongoing visioning work from the Planning Studio at FDOT District One.
