The Florida Department of Transportation is preparing design plans for the widening of US Highway 27/State Road 25 from north of County Road 630A to Presidents Drive in Polk County. The project includes expanding the existing four-lane facility to six lanes with a grassed median. 

Construction is not currently funded.
