January is Move Over Month
Florida’s Move Over Law requires drivers to move over one lane for ANY vehicle on the side of the road when a person is present, or if the vehicle is displaying emergency lights or flares. If changing lanes isn’t possible, drivers must reduce their speed by 20 mph below the posted limit.
What about construction & maintenance vehicles? YES, move over.
What about tow trucks? YES, move over.
What about utility vehicles? YES, move over.
MOVE OVER (or slow down) for any stopped vehicle.
