Upcoming Public Meeting for SR 60 from CR 555 to Broadway Avenue
Meeting will be available in multiple platforms.

Polk County, Fla. — The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will hold a public meeting regarding the State Road (SR) 60 from CR 555 to Broadway Avenue project on Tuesday, March 7, 2023. The in-person open house will begin at 5:00 p.m. The virtual meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. 

This project consists of milling and resurfacing SR 60 from east of CR 555 to west of Broadway Avenue, closing the median opening at Dorothy Street, and constructing a concrete median at Richland Road which will restrict turning movements. Additional improvements include traffic signal upgrades, pedestrian signal upgrades at Baker Avenue, replacing signing and pavement markings, and upgrades to sidewalk and curb ramps in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

The Department is offering multiple ways for the community to participate in the public meeting. All participants, regardless of platform they choose, will participate in the same live meeting.

Virtual Option: Attend virtually from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. from a computer, tablet, or mobile device. You can register in advance at fdot.cc/SR60-CR555-to-Broadway. Once registered, attendees will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting online. Please note, Internet Explorer cannot be used to register or attend this webinar. Please review the meeting materials online through the project website prior to this event. 

In-Person Option: Attend in person from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the FDOT District One Conference Center, 801 North Broadway Avenue, Bartow, FL 33830. Attendees who are not feeling well should not attend the in-person meeting.
