SR 739 from north of the Caloosahatchee River to SR 78 (Bayshore Road): Construction Project: This project is intended to improve safety, enhance traffic flow, and reduce crashes by constructing a continuous raised median, with bi-directional and full median openings. Proposed improvements also consist of milling and resurfacing of the roadway, two pedestrian hybrid beacons, upgrading the traffic signal at Pondella Road, ADA upgrades, lighting, signing and pavement markings, and drainage improvements.
- Crews are continuing to work on the final striping operations. During this work, construction crews will implement intermittent lane closures in specific work zones only, outside of peak travel times. These intermittent closures are not anticipated to impede traffic and will be used on an as-needed basis.
- These lane closures will occur during the daytime and nighttime/overnight hours.
