Cortez Road (S.R. 684) from 86th Street West to West of 30th Street West: Construction project: The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will begin milling and resurfacing Cortez Road (S.R. 684) from 86th Street West to west of 30th Street West in mid-summer 2026. Improvements will also include drainage, sidewalk improvements, signal work, mast arm replacement and ITS additions within the project limits. The project spans just over 3.47 miles.
- Motorists can expect intermittent daytime/nighttime lane closures throughout the project limits.
- Please be aware there may be uneven areas of pavement while work is underway.
- Pedestrians can expect detours where sidewalks are being repaired or replaced.
- Please follow signage and watch for workers in and near the roadway during daytime and nighttime hours.
- The estimated completion is late 2027.
