SR 777 River Road from I-75 to US 41: Construction project: Road embankment installation continues on the northbound roadway from Aucilla Drive to US 41, and Venice Avenue to I-75. As embankment is completed, drainage installations, subgrade mixing, curb placement, and roadway grading will continue. Sod installation, signal, ITS, and lighting work are ongoing. Trucks will be crossing the road at various locations using intermittent flagging operations. Pothole maintenance will continue as necessary on all current travel ways through the project. Work to construct the Bridge Church driveway is planned to commence in a week or so. Crews will conduct nighttime asphalt paving operations on the future northbound lanes and within the Venice Avenue and Center Road intersection (including some paving for shared-use paths) starting on January 26 and continuing for approximately one week. Flagging operations may be used within the Venice Avenue intersection to guide travelers through the work area as paving occurs.
