The I-4 eastbound exit ramp to Kathleen Road (Exit 31) will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, Monday, September 16 through Wednesday, September 18. DETOUR: Motorists wanting to exit at Kathleen Road should follow the posted detour and exit at US 92 (Exit 28), head east to Wabash Avenue (US 92) then south to George Jenkins Boulevard, then east to Kathleen Road (SR 539).

Week of Sunday, September 15 through Saturday, September 21

Watch for both northbound and southbound double lane closures during the day for paving from Cypress Gardens Boulevard to Kokomo Road. Use caution, be prepared to merge, and add additional time in your schedule to reach your destination.

Week of Sunday, September 15 through Saturday, September 21

This week crews will continue demolition of the existing bridge. Motorists should follow the posted detours.

• Eastbound: Head north or south on US 17 to Hardee Street and east on Hardee Street to Lake Branch Road. Head southeast on Lake Branch Road to Platt Road and head north back to County Line Road.
• Westbound: Head east or west on County Line Road to Platt Road. Head south on Platt Road to Lake Branch Road and head west to Hardee Street. Turn left (west) on Hardee Street to US 17. Turn right (north) on US 17 back to County Line Road.

Week of Sunday, September 15 through Saturday, September 21

Crews will be taking delivery of materials, pouring bridge deck and working on lighting.

Expect intermittent lane closures throughout the project from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday, September 16 through Friday, September 20. Use caution and be prepared to merge.

Week of Sunday, September 15 through Saturday, September 21

This week the contractor will be placing roadway striping and signs throughout the project. Watch for daytime lane closures with flaggers directing traffic and be prepared to merge.

Construction on this project is currently scheduled to begin in October 2024 pending any delays due to equipment acquisition. During this time, utility companies may be in the area to move facilities out of the way prior to construction. Watch for periodic lane closures and workers close to the road.

During construction SR 33 (Lakeland Hills Boulevard) will be reduced to one lane in each direction with limited left turn lanes, primarily at signalized intersections. It will be necessary at times to close side street entrances during different phases of work with local traffic and pedestrian detours in place.

Crews have closed Scenic Highway from Grove Avenue to Hillcrest Avenue to begin installing new drainage structures.

• Local motorists should follow the posted detour using Winston Avenue, South 4th Street and Domaris Avenue.
• Truck traffic is detoured using Hunt Brothers Road, US 27, and East Mountain Lake Cutoff Road.
• The contractor has removed the sidewalk on the west side of the project. Follow the temporary pedestrian detour.

Week of Sunday, September 8 through Saturday, September 14:
