There are no planned lane or ramp closures as part of this project during the week of Thanksgiving.

Watch for periodic daytime lane closures north of I-4 Monday, November 24 and Tuesday, November 25. There are no lane closures planned Wednesday through Sunday, November 26 - 30, 2025.

Paving crews will return to finish paving the week after Thanksgiving. Watch for nighttime/overnight lane closures throughout the project, Sunday through Thursday nights, November 30 through December 6, 2025. I-4 ramp closures may be needed as crews pave near the ramps. Watch for posted detour signs.

DETOURS DURING RAMP CLOSURES

During the I-4 EXIT RAMP closures: Eastbound and Westbound I-4 motorists wanting to access U.S. 98 will exit I-4 at Kathleen Road (Exit #31), head north on Kathleen Road to Griffin Road and turn right (east) back to U.S. 98.

During I-4 ENTRANCE RAMP closures: U.S. 98 motorists wanting to access Interstate 4 will head west on Griffin Road to Kathleen Road, turn left (south) on Kathleen Road to access Interstate 4 in either direction. Note: Northbound motorists north of Griffin Road will make a U-Turn at Crevasse Street to head south toward Griffin Road and follow the same detour.

Crews are installing drainage structures and curb on S.R. 17 with 24-hour/day lane closures with flaggers directing traffic through Friday, November 21, 2025.

Watch for possible lane closures on S.R. 17 as crews make curb and driveway repairs, Monday, November 24 and Tuesday, November 25, 2025.

Crews will continue drainage improvements on South Eastside Drive and near Coral Way.

South Eastside Drive remains closed at Combee Road through mid-December. Motorists are detoured using East Main Street. Combee Road traffic will not be affected by the closure.

Expect lane closures on Combee Road at night with flaggers directing traffic at night/overnight the week of Sunday, November 30 through Saturday, December 6.  Use caution and be prepared to stop.

Expect nighttime/overnight lane closures from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday and Tuesday, November 24 and 25. No lane closures during the Thanksgiving Holiday, Wednesday, November 26 through Sunday, November 30.

Paving will begin again starting Monday night, December 1 through Thursday night, December 4, 2025.

Watch for slow moving vehicles as crew water sod with a water truck on Monday, November 24 and Wednesday, November 26.

Expect nighttime overnight lane closures as crews grind in rumble strips along the roadway edges and centerline on Wednesday, December 3 and Thursday, December 4. Use caution and be prepared to merge.
