About

This project was completed in February 2026 and will extend the service life of the pavement and improve safety. Project improvements included milling and resurfacing of the existing pavement, signal upgrades, inside shoulder widening, bicycle keyhole lanes at the existing right-turn lanes, and intersection improvements at CR 640/Homeland Garfield Road that included additional lighting and pedestrian upgrades.

Safety improvements included revising the two full-access median openings to directional median openings at 3rd Street NE and Pembroke Road North. Additionally, approximately 200 feet north of Pembroke Road, the median was widened to provide a northbound-to-southbound U-turn-lane.
