Sunday, May 11th to Saturday, May 17th:
Lane Closure: Beginning Sunday, May 11, through Thursday, May 15 from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. motorists should expect a lane closure across Matanzas Pass Bridge with a flagging operation. Crews will perform striping on Matanzas Pass Bridge and approach to bring to final configuration.
During construction, motorists should expect intermittent nighttime/overnight lane closures.
Motorists are asked to exercise caution and reduce their speed while driving through the work zone.

Sanibel Causeway Emergency Restoration: Crews are completing final items west of the toll plaza. The 35 MPH speed limit has been restored west of the toll plaza. Reduced speed limits remain enforced east of the toll plaza.
The following work activities above are scheduled to occur, however unforeseen underground conditions and weather may affect this schedule.East of the Toll Plaza:
Motorists are advised that off-island traffic is currently shifted to the outside toll plaza lane and Punta Rassa Road traffic entering McGregor Boulevard eastbound has shifted to the south side of the traffic separator (normal configuration).
Final paving of McGregor Boulevard is tentatively scheduled for the week of Sunday, May 18 during overnight hours.
Motorists should be aware of a slow-moving water truck on McGregor Boulevard irrigating the newly installed sod.

West of the Toll Plaza:
Motorists should use caution as crews complete final work activities along the shoulder of the Causeway.
Motorists and bicyclists are urged to be courteous and pay attention as bicyclists share the road on the Causeway.
The Causeway Islands Park is now open to the public. Motorists and beachgoers should be aware of vehicles slowing and entering and exiting at near beach entrances. Please check www.leegov.com/parks for updated information.

Many oversized vehicles are crossing the causeway to assist with recovery efforts on the island. Please be patient as travel may be slower than usual. Pedestrians are not permitted on the Sanibel Causeway.
