U.S. 41 (Tamiami Trail) from William Street to Peace River Bridge: Construction project: The contractor is working to activate the new signals and lighting along U.S. 41 northbound.
U.S. 41 (Tamiami Trail) from William Street to Peace River Bridge: Construction project: The contractor is working to activate the new signals and lighting along U.S. 41 northbound. Final asphalt paving is expected to begin, changing the configuration of U.S. 41 northbound from three lanes to two lanes with dedicated turn lanes.
- Expect potential lane closures for crews to work on signalization and lighting.
- Expect potential overnight road closures as crews pave the roadway and restripe to the new road configuration.
- Detours will be instituted to guide motorists around the closed sections of roadway. The right turn lane at Taylor Street to U.S. 41 northbound will be closed to allow motorists to adjust to the new configuration.
Motorists should use caution and expect to see trucks moving throughout the project.
The above activities are subject to change based on weather and unforeseen conditions. Expected completion in fall 2026
