The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will begin milling and resurfacing Cortez Road (S.R. 684) from 86th Street West to west of 30th Street West. Improvements will also include drainage, signal work, mast arm replacement and ITS additions within the project limits. While project schedules vary, the contract is expected to begin in summer of 2026 and spans just over 3.47 miles. Overall project cost is estimated at $12. 5 million.

The project spans just over 3.47 miles.

    • Motorists can expect intermittent daytime/nighttime lane closures throughout the project limits.
    • Please be aware there may be uneven areas of pavement while work is underway.
    • Pedestrians can expect detours where sidewalks are being repaired or replaced.
    • Please follow signage and watch for workers in and near the roadway during daytime and nighttime hours.
    • The estimated completion is late 2027.
