CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. – Motorists are advised that State Road 31 (Babcock Ranch Road) is currently closed just north of County Road 74 (Bermont Road) following a crash that resulted in a diesel fuel spill. Local police are on site. All traffic is being diverted south on State Road 31 or east and west on County Road 74. Drivers should expect delays and use alternate routes if possible.

Cleanup efforts are underway, and the contractor is actively working to remove the fuel spill and restore safe conditions.
