Lakeland, Fla. – On Friday, August 8, 2025, from 12 AM to 4 AM, there will be a pacing operation along eastbound Interstate 4. The pacing operations will begin at I-4 eastbound from Hillsborough County to Polk Parkway (Exit 41).

Project improvements include interchange improvements, installation of roundabouts along SR 33, and the addition of two wildlife crossings on SR 33 and I-4. This week, crews will work on utilities, drainage, and roadway grading.
