I-4 at SR 33 Eastbound Pacing Operations
LAKELAND, Fla. – On Saturday, August 9, 2025, from 12 a.m. to 4 a.m., there will be a pacing operation along eastbound Interstate 4. The pacing operations will begin at I-4 eastbound from Hillsborough County to Polk Parkway (Exit 41).
In the event of inclement weather, this operation will be moved to Monday morning, August 11, 2025, from 12 a.m. to 4 a.m.
Project improvements include interchange improvements, installation of roundabouts along SR 33, and the addition of two wildlife crossings on SR 33 and I-4. This week, crews will work on utilities, drainage, and roadway grading.
