POLK COUNTY, Fla. – Northbound US 98 at Winter Lake Road has lane closures in place after a utility bore failed beneath the roadway yesterday afternoon.

The outside and middle through lanes are closed while the utility company works to bring a crew on-site to make repairs.

Drivers are encouraged to allow extra time, use caution in the area, or consider alternate routes.
