NAPLES, Fla. – During the early morning hours on Thursday, August 14, a mast arm was damaged at the intersection of US 41 (SR 90) and Saint Andrews Boulevard in South Naples.

As of Thursday afternoon, the median at the intersection is fully closed, preventing the following maneuvers:

  • Left turn from westbound Saint Andrews Boulevard to southbound US 41
  • Left turn from southbound US 41 to eastbound Saint Andrews Boulevard
  • U-turns on US 41

Motorists should continue past the intersection and U-turn at the next available median opening.

Crews are working to install a temporary signal, which is anticipated to be completed within 2-3 days. In the meantime, the other signals at the intersection will remain in flash mode. Please use extra caution while driving in the area and seek alternative routes when possible.

Nighttime milling and resurfacing work will continue on US 41 as part of FDOT’s

SR 29 & US 41 (SR 90) Resurfacing and Road Improvements Project.

Motorists should anticipate single lane closures during the overnight hours from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. and double lane closures during the overnight hours from 10 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. throughout the duration of construction. Please exercise caution in the work zone and anticipate delays.
