BARTOW, Fla. – The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) invites the community to participate in a Design Public Meeting to inform you of design change improvements on State Road (SR) 70 from County Road (CR) 29 to Lonesome Island Road.

An in-person meeting will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Town of Lake Placid Government Center, Community Room, 1069 US 27 North, Lake Placid, FL 33852. A self-guided virtual meeting room with the same information will be available from August 21 to September 5, 2025. Access the virtual meeting room at https://www.swflroads.com/project/414506-5.

The purpose of this meeting is to inform the public of design changes and provide an opportunity for the public to ask questions and provide feedback. The same materials will be provided at each meeting. You can choose the meeting format that is most convenient for you.
