LEE COUNTY, Fla. – Florida Department of Transportation crews are working on the SR 31 Wilson Piggot Bridge near Fort Myers, and traffic control operations are in place.

Southbound traffic is being detoured on Bayshore Road (SR 78) to I-75. The detour will remain while repairs continue.

Drivers should expect delays, follow detour signs and use caution in the area. FDOT will provide updates as work progresses and when the bridge reopens.
