LEE COUNTY, Fla. – Maintenance crews repaired the steel plate covering the damaged grid deck and reinforced additional sections to better withstand heavy traffic loads. All traffic control measures — including signage, barriers, and lane closures—were removed as of 3:30 p.m. The southbound lane is fully open to thru traffic.

Permanent repairs are being planned and will require overnight work with a southbound detour until the new deck section is ready. This project is a top priority, and advance updates will be shared as details are confirmed.
