Roadway Reconstruction on SR 64 Near Griffin Road
HARDEE COUNTY, Fla. – Beginning Wednesday, September 17, 2025, and continuing through the fall of 2025 (weather permitting), SR 64 near Griffin Road will be reduced to one lane for roadway reconstruction. Traffic will alternate in each direction using portable temporary signals, and Driveway Assistance Devices (DADs) will assist residents entering and exiting driveways and side roads.
Intermittent daytime and nighttime lane closures will also occur during the project. Local access to homes, farms, and businesses will remain open; however, thru traffic will be detoured as posted.
Motorists are urged to use caution in the work zone, follow all posted signs and signals, and allow extra travel time.
