Upcoming I-4 Traffic Shift at World Drive
OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – Motorists are advised that the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will implement a temporary traffic pattern along Interstate 4 (I-4) east and west of World Drive. The phased operation to safely shift traffic is expected to begin on the following nights:
· Sunday, September 28, 2025: Existing traffic on eastbound I-4 will be shifted to temporary lanes adjacent to the State Road 417 collector-distributor road from I-4.
· Sunday, October 5, 2025: Existing westbound I-4 lanes will be shifted to the existing eastbound I-4 lanes.
The shift will allow crews to reconstruct westbound I-4 as part of the improvements included in Moving I-4 Forward’s Accelerated Start project. Three general-use lanes will be maintained in each direction. The ramps at the I-4/World Drive interchange will be unaffected by this work.
The work schedule is subject to change due to weather or unexpected circumstances.
