I-4 Eastbound Exit 38 Detour Postponed
Lakeland, Fla. – Crews will postpone the overnight detour scheduled on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, from 9:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. for I-4 eastbound Exit 38 to a later date due to inclement weather. The project team will provide tentative dates as to when the detour will take place, weather permitting.
Project improvements include interchange improvements, installation of roundabouts along SR 33, and the addition of two wildlife crossings on SR 33 and I-4. This week, crews will work on utilities, drainage, and roadway grading.
