BARTOW, Fla. – Tonight, Wednesday, October 8, and tomorrow night, Thursday, October 9, crews will be installing new drainage pipes as part of the FDOT improvement project on US 98 from Griffin Road to Sharon Drive. Work will take place at the I-4 westbound exit ramp (Exit 32) and will require a lane closure and detour for drivers heading south on US 98. Work will occur overnight when traffic volumes are lower. Please use caution and follow posted detour signs.

Detour Information:

·         All traffic exiting westbound I-4 at US 98 (Exit 32) will be directed north on US 98

·         To access southbound US 98, drivers will be detoured:

    • Right on US 98 to head northbound
    • U-Turn at Crevasse Street
    • Head south on US 98

·         One of the two left-turn lanes and two travel lanes will be closed between I-4 and Crevasse Street to allow trucks to safely maneuver through the detour.
