BARTOW, Fla. – Work on two resurfacing projects along State Road (SR) 37 South will start Monday, October 13, 2025. Both projects are designed to improve safety and extend the life of the roadway.

The first project area extends from north of County Road (CR) 640 to Moses Street in Mulberry. The second project runs from north of SR 674 to south of CR 630.

Both projects will include the installation of rumble strips along the center and edge lines of the roadway. These safety features are designed to alert drivers who unintentionally leave the travel lane.

Project Details:

  • SR 37 from north of CR 640 to Moses Street in Mulberry
    • Lane closures restricted to nighttime/overnight hours, from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
    • Speed limit reduced to 50 mph during construction

  • SR 37 from north of SR 674 to south of CR 630
    • Lane closures permitted day or night with flaggers directing traffic
    • Speed limit remains 60 mph
    • Daytime work expected to begin the week of October 13
