MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. – Repairs to the Anna Maria Drawbridge deck top will require a flagging operation Monday, October 13, through Thursday, October 16, between the hours of 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.

Repairs are being made at night to limit disruption to motorists. The bridge will not be closed during the repairs; however, those who wish to avoid the flagging operation should consider using the Cortex Bridge (SR 684) as an alternative route.

The plan is for lanes to reopen by the morning rush hour.

Motorists are encouraged to check FL511.com for real-time traffic updates and allow extra travel time.

This overnight work is scheduled to reduce daytime impacts, with safety remaining FDOT’s top priority. Updates will be shared as the project progresses.
