BARTOW, Fla. - Road work on State Road 659 (Combee Road), approximately 3,000 feet south of US 92 near Coral Way in Lakeland, will continue into the morning commute today, Wednesday, October 15.

Combee Road has been reduced to one lane, with flaggers directing traffic as crews complete work on an underground drainage structure and roadway reconstruction.

The lane closure is expected to remain in place during peak traffic hours, potentially causing delays for morning commuters. Motorists are urged to use caution when traveling through the area and add extra time in their schedule to reach their destination.
