PALMETTO, Fla. – The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will be removing and replacing guardrail overnight on the on- and off-ramps at the I-75 and US 41 interchange from 7 p.m. until 7:30 a.m. next week. One ramp at a time will be closed so crews can safely conduct their work. Motorists will follow the detour around each ramp closure as needed.

  • On October 20, the off-ramp from northbound I-275 to US 41 will be closed overnight. Motorists will be detoured to continue northbound on I-275 to northbound I-75, then take Exit 229 and turn left at westbound Moccasin Wallow Road. Follow the detour signs on westbound Moccasin Wallow Road to the intersection of US 41 and turn left at US 41 to head southbound.
  • On October 21, the on-ramp for northbound I-275/I-75 will be closed overnight. Motorists will follow the detour to continue northbound on US 41 to the intersection of Moccasin Wallow Road and turn right. Follow the detour signs on eastbound Moccasin Wallow Road to northbound I-75.
  • On October 22, the off-ramp from southbound I-275 to both north and southbound US 41 will be closed overnight. Motorists traveling on I-75/I-275 will exit prior to the US 41 intersection onto westbound Moccasin Wallow Road in Parrish (Exit 229). Follow the detour signs on westbound Moccasin Wallow Road to turn north or southbound on US 41.
  • On October 23, the on-ramp for northbound I-275 from US 41 will be closed overnight. Motorists traveling northbound on US 41 will need to exit onto US 19 prior to I-275 and follow the detour signs to northbound I-275. Motorists traveling southbound on US 41 will follow detour signs to northbound US 19.

Please use caution in the construction zone and be alert for workers and equipment in the project limits.
