LAKELAND, Fla. – Beginning Monday, November 3, 2025, construction crews will begin installing sound wall posts along northbound State Road (S.R.) 33 as part of ongoing roadway improvements.

Work will occur daily from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., weather permitting. During this time, residents and motorists may experience increased noise levels due to construction activities.

Crews will be working close to property right of way lines, and the public is urged to use caution and remain aware of their surroundings when near the construction zone. This proximity is necessary to complete the installation safely and efficiently.

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) reminds drivers to stay alert, obey posted signage, and watch for construction vehicles entering and exiting the roadway. Electronic message boards will provide real-time updates to help guide traffic safely through the area.

This project is part of FDOT’s ongoing efforts to enhance roadway safety and improve quality of life for nearby communities.
