HARDEE COUNTY, Fla. – The detour for Merle Langford Road and Steve Roberts Special Road is scheduled to be removed on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, as part of the ongoing project on State Road (S.R.) 66 from U.S. 17 (S.R. 35) to Charlie Creek

Motorists should use caution and watch for crews on-site as workers remove detour signs, barricades, and traffic control devices along the project corridor.

The project will continue as crews move forward with construction activities along S.R. 66. Drivers are reminded to reduce speed, follow posted signs, and remain alert for workers and equipment in the area.
