I-4 at U.S. 98 Interchange Overnight Ramp Closures Scheduled Starting Monday, November 3
BARTOW, Fla. –Motorists should anticipate all I-4 on and off-ramps at U.S. 98 (Exit 32) to be closed during the nighttime/overnight hours of 8:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. starting Monday night, November 3 and nightly through Friday morning, November 7, for crews to install drainage and begin paving as part of the U.S. 98 improvements project from Griffin Road to Sharon Drive.
During the I-4 EXIT RAMP closures: Eastbound and Westbound I-4 motorists wanting to access U.S. 98 will exit I-4 at Kathleen Road (Exit 31), head north on Kathleen Road to Griffin Road and turn right (east) back to U.S. 98.
During I-4 ENTRANCE RAMP closures: U.S. 98 motorists wanting to access Interstate 4 will head west on Griffin Road to Kathleen Road, turn left (south) on Kathleen Road to access Interstate 4 in either direction. Note: Northbound motorists north of Griffin Road will make a U-Turn at Crevasse Street to head south toward Griffin Road and follow the same detour.
These activities and closures are subject to change based on weather conditions and unforeseen conditions.
Additionally, motorists should expect intermittent northbound and southbound lane closures on U.S. 98 nightly through the week for crews to perform paving operations.
