Detour Scheduled for I-4 Westbound Exit 38 Ramp Beginning November 17
Lakeland, Fla. – From Monday, November 17, through Friday, November 21, 2025, a temporary detour will be in place for motorists traveling on the I-4 westbound off-ramp at Exit 38. The detour is necessary to allow crews to stake barrier walls and install temporary lighting as part of ongoing improvement efforts.
To access State Road (S.R.) 33, drivers should follow the posted detour signs by continuing westbound on I-4 past Exit 38 and exiting at Exit 33. From there, turn left onto North Socrum Loop Road and follow the route to the intersection of Socrum Loop Road and Lakeland Hills Boulevard to reach S.R. 33.
Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and use caution in the work zone.
