Unanticipated Lane Closure on U.S. 98 North of Pyramid Parkway
BARTOW, Fla. – The outside southbound lane of U.S. 98, just north of Pyramid Parkway, is closed. Crews temporarily patched a depression that appeared in the roadway; however, the lane is now closed to allow crews to investigate the cause and plan for permanent repairs.
Motorists traveling through the area should expect and plan for delays during peak travel times and drive with caution. This portion of U.S. 98 typically does not experience daytime lane closures due to high traffic volumes.
The depression area falls within the limits of an ongoing FDOT improvement project from south of Griffin Road to Sharon Drive. For project details, please visit: www.swflroads.com/project/445468-1
