LEE COUNTY, Fla. – Beginning Monday morning, December 1, 2025, at approximately 8 a.m., the eastbound right-turn lanes on Pondella Road onto southbound S.R. 739 (North Tamiami Trail) will be closed. During this time, motorists are asked to use the posted detour.

When traveling eastbound on Pondella Road, motorists will turn right onto River Road, then left onto Cabana Avenue to access southbound S.R. 739 (North Tamiami Trail).

Pedestrians wanting to cross the road at the intersection should follow the posted detour signage.

This closure will allow crews to reconstruct and widen the southwest quadrant at the intersection and install new drainage structures.

This detour is estimated to last through December. All scheduling is subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
