DESOTO COUNTY, Fla. – All eastbound and westbound lanes of State Road (S.R.) 72 at Southwest Thigpen Avenue are closed because of a traffic incident.

Law enforcement and traffic personnel are on scene, and traffic is stopped in both directions. The roadway will reopen once the area is cleared and it is safe for travel.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area, use alternate routes, and follow directions from law enforcement and traffic personnel.
