MATLACHA, Fla. – To our valued community, we are pleased to announce the upcoming transition to Phase 3 of the reconstruction of the Little Pine Island Bridge, tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, January 20.

The bridge reconstruction will deliver long-term improvements to the transportation infrastructure serving Pine Island and surrounding communities. Beginning Monday night into Tuesday morning, crews will enter Interim Phase 3, during which final project elements will be completed. These activities include the installation of traffic railings and the parapet wall. The completion of Phase 3 will mark the final phase of the Little Pine Island Bridge reconstruction.

Motorists are asked to continue exercising caution and to reduce speeds while traveling through the work zone. Please note that construction schedules remain subject to change due to weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances.

FDOT is committed to delivering a bridge built to last and designed to withstand extreme loads and harsh environmental conditions. Once complete, the Little Pine Island Bridge will represent resilience and sustainability, ensuring safe and reliable service for the community for generations to come.
