Multiple Maintenance Projects Underway on State Road (S.R.) 29 and State Road (S.R.) 80 in Hendry County
HENDRY COUNTY, Fla. – The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is conducting asphalt paving operations at multiple locations throughout Hendry County as part of scheduled roadway maintenance. Intermittent lane closures will be in place during construction activities.
On S.R. 29 between Helms Road and A Road, crews are performing asphalt paving operations. Lane closures will occur intermittently as work progresses through the corridor.
On S.R. 80, crews are conducting asphalt paving operations in the westbound lanes between Captain Hendry Drive and Cowboy Way. Motorists should expect periodic lane closures and possible delays.
Work will commence sometime between 6:00 a.m. - 7:00 a.m. Motorists are urged to use caution, follow posted signs, and watch for workers, equipment, and changing traffic patterns while traveling through work zones.
The maintenance work is expected to be completed by Feb. 20, 2026, weather and schedule permitting.
