Nighttime Northbound Lane Closures on I-75 in Sarasota County Scheduled for February 16
SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. – Road work on I-75 will require nighttime lane closures to the right two lanes of I-75 northbound in Sarasota County. All work is scheduled to take place overnight to minimize daytime traffic impacts.
Closure Schedule:
- Monday, February 16: Lane closures will begin at 9 p.m. The lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. The following areas will be affected:
- Mile Marker 177.5 - Just North of Kings Highway (Veterans Blvd)
- Mile Marker 180.6 - Just North of Toledo Blade Blvd (exit 179)
- Mile Marker 189.2 - Just North of Sumter Blvd (exit 182)
- Mile Marker 192.2 – Just North of River Road (exit 191)
- Monday, February 16: Time permitting, in the early morning hours, there will also be a southbound closure with lanes reopening by 5 a.m. The following area will be affected:
- Mile Marker 184.1 - south of exit 191 River Road and just north of Sumter Blvd. (exit 182)
This work is part of ongoing roadway maintenance to enhance safety and improve travel conditions on I-75. All lanes will be open by the morning rush hour to reduce congestion. Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time and check FL511.com for real-time traffic updates.
