MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. – Contractors for the Florida Department of Transportation will be placing concrete on State Road (S.R.) 684 (Cortez Road) between 103rd Street Court W. and 99th Street W.

Work is scheduled from 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 18, to 6 a.m. Thursday, February 19, 2026.

Motorists should anticipate an outside lane closure on eastbound S.R. 684 (Cortez Road). Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to plan ahead, allow extra travel time and watch for flaggers. Please use caution and be alert for construction vehicles entering and exiting the work zone.
