LEE COUNTY, Fla. – To our valued community, we are pleased to share regular updates on the ongoing construction of S.R. 739 from north of the Caloosahatchee River to S.R. 78. We are committed to delivering these safety improvements as quickly as possible while ensuring quality and safety remain top priorities.

 

Recent Work

 

Crews continued paving efforts on the right (outside) travel lanes and turn lanes on northbound and southbound Business 41. Crews also completed the installation process of new detection loops along the roadway. In addition, installation of new street signage, upgraded roadway lighting, and associated conduit advanced.

Upcoming Work

 

Next week, work will continue with the street signage, upgraded roadway lighting, and associated conduit for new signalization.

Estimated completion of the project has been adjusted due to project resequencing in response to addressing community concerns. Estimated completion is early 2026.
